NRA Certified Training Programs

Currently we offer only the NRA Basic Pistol course.  This is the same course that qualifies you to apply for a Colorado Concealed Weapon(s) permit. 

Our course is always on a Saturday, usually towards the end of every month.  The course is 10 hours long, running from 9am to 7pm (ending time can vary with class size).  Students receive several 15 minute breaks, and a 1 hour lunch break.  Approximately one and a half hours are spent in the actual range, where students are familiarized with firearms first hand, and receive shooting tips from our instructor.

Students may bring their own firearms, but everyone must begin range time with the semi-automatic Ruger Mk. III, and the Smith & Wesson J-Frame 10 shot revolver, both .22.  This is to demonstrate proficiency and understanding with both semi-automatic pistols and double-action/single-action revolvers   We provide the firearms, .22 ammunition, hearing, and eye protection at no extra charge for the purposes of the class.  Final qualification can be done with either of our provided firearms, or the student's own.  Students do not get to keep the firearms, eye, or ear protection provided.

For the lunch break, we have a refrigerator and a microwave.  Students are more than welcome to make use of our appliances.  If you use our equipment, please remember it is rude to take things out you didn't put in without asking!  There are also several eateries immediately surrounding our location, including:  Wendy's, Arby's, Valley Inn, and more.

Cost is $150.00

Prospective students must sign up for the class in person and pay at least 72 hours in advance of the class to guarantee a spot for the class.
